About Me

Decadenze were formed by brothers Chris Edge (vocalist) and Steve Edge (bass player). They endeavoured to find a guitarist with the same ambition and hunger as themselves........ they found that in guitarist Phil Haycock. The three jammed together only once and they instantly knew it was meant to be.
Next on the list was to find a drummer able to bash the skins like a fucking maniac! After a few unsuccessful auditions the band found Rich Newsome. The band was praying Rich met their high desires and he delivered 100%!
Immediately the band began to practice hard and long, writing original material from day one! They released the 'You Cant Stop Me' E.P. and set out local tour dates playing over 50 gigs in their 1st year. They gained a local fan base, young and old, however they felt that their live sound and stage presence was lacking something.
They decided to recruite a second guitarist to give them that extra drive on stage. After auditioning several applicants they decided that local boy Adam "Dive" Davies was the right person for the job.
They took a few months off from touring and re-entered the studio to rehearse and record their new material with new recruit Adam 'Dive' Davies.
After months of hard work they released their Self Titled Album 'Decadenze'. They set tour dates for the year playing 100 plus gigs all over the UK to include venues such as the 'Liverpool Carling Academy' the 'Lime Light Club' in Crew, the 'Hotel California' in Birkenhead and down South played such venues as the 'Cart and Horses' and the 'Ruskin Arms' where Heavy Metal Band Iron Maiden played their 1st ever gigs!!
Since the Release of their Album, Decadenze have played shows with Classic Rockers 'Budgie', Heavy Rockers 'Rattle Snake Remedy', and American Signed Band 'Blanco Diablo' just to name a few. They have also shared the Stage with Many Great Tribute Bands from around the UK.
In September of 2007 Decadenze re-entered the studio to start the recording of their next project. The 'Broken Emapthy' E.P.
With the 'Broken Emapthy' E.P and DVD completed. Decadenze are currently writing new material for there debut album due for release in 2009.
