In life as "five fingered" people we hope to walk in this world in a good way or in the beauty way. Unfortunetly, somtimes all we can do is just to stand up again when we are knocked down, in this process we must give thanks to Creator for all that we are bless with despite our trials or failures...because life in eccense is about the beauty of learning. The world is full or people who want something, but the question is what? You can search all your life and miss the beauty of today, so I say to you let's take the time to be courteous, respectful, humble, and appreciate what life offers us today (friendship)! With this I say...ALL My Relations! In beauty may you walk!!

My Interests

Family is very important to me, as well as my Indigenous community. I am living back on my ancestral homeland near the Tsayi or Canyon De Chelly. My power & place is being restored and I feel more balanced with in. Although, Chinle community has many remanents of colonization and intergenerational trauma the spirit of healing is also prevalant. My hope is to reconnect with my power & place, so that I can aide in the process of healing our soul wound, so that my daughter's generation may begin the restoration of balance. I am of the Zuni Edgewater Clan and my people are one of the original families in the community. The picture below is the land of my Great Grandmothers that extends west to the mouth of the Tsayi. My memories of childhood was truly a blessed one, because this was the grandchildrens playground. Today our Beloved barriers of our culture and spirituality have return to their father in heaven. The children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren have lost some direction and are struggling to find their way back to the Hozho road of corn pollen. To the memory of our Great Grandmothers: Helen A. Walker 1903-2004 Clara Hollywood Yanabah Begay Althdee litshoo Tso Mertile Teller And for our ancestors that have endured the Hweeldi (Long Walk) and Anasazi!! Politically, I am currently on the Native American School Psychologist Task Force (NASP affialated) helping research on defining, improving, and supporting service delivery of School Psychologist serving Native Americans.Books I love to read a professional based right now. Widening the Circle: Cultrally Relevant Pedagogy for American Indian People by Klug & Whitfield; Power & Place by Deloria (RIP) & Wildcat; Reclaiming Indigeous Voice & Vision by Batttiste; and Pedagogy of the Opressed by Freire. Artistically, I am a Native American Beader, mostly, for Pow-wow regalia. I am working on my daughters outfit right now. I love to sing pow-wow songs and draw Native designs & art.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who would like an honest, respectful, supportive, and philosophical friend!! I am very serious person, however, that does not mean I am uptight or boring, so don't be discouraged from making a contact. Unless your intentions are disrespectful and just plain rude suggest you make another selection.

OPPRESSION Statement

There was once an innocent girl who loved herself, her people, and the land.  She loved to play at the wash in Canyon De Chelly, so free to explore nature's creation in wonder, love and respect. ...
