Stuart McNair, both solo and with his band, plays true Americana music. Stuart and his band combine Bluegrass, Old Country, Zydeco, Reggae, and Rock n Roll to create an infectious groove and a positive vibe. Stuart showcases original material as well as a vast catalog of songs to make you smile (favorite artists to cover: the Band, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Stevie Wonder, Hank Williams, Sr., Paul Simon). Stuart is a multi-instrumentalist, playing acoustic and electric guitars, accordion, trumpet, harmonicas, and some small appliances. The full five-piece band includes fiddle, mandolin, bass, and drums. Both solo and with his bandmates, Stuart McNair delivers a wide variety of music and a lot of fun.
"Building a Fire is a much-needed reemergence of heartfelt, quality Southern music. It's an impressive combination of folk, bluegrass, and alt. country....akin to the likes of Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan, with a hint of Simon and Garfunkel."

- Datelinealabama.com

"He could be on the airwaves in an instant. Or with the right support, he could be the next alt-country darling, alongside Ryan Adams and Wilco"

- City Magazine, Tuscaloosa, AL

"Cosmic thoughts and unforgettable, beautiful songs...a bit like Johnny Cash singing the Upanishads."

- Mobile Bay Monthly

"Destined for Alternative Greatness"
