Comprising lead vocalist Dwayne Wint, drummer Adam Wilkie, bassist Neal Flynn, Alex Paschali on lead guitar and finally, Max Herman on keyboards, these five London boys have created a sound all their own.
Each brings their own influences to the eclectic mix and the best way to experience it is by getting along to one of their packed out gigs or listening to their debut EP "Change".
Buddhasugar's sound is a highly successful fusion: irresistibly funky rhythm, soaring guitar that makes you think of everything from The Chilli Peppers to Guns n Roses, the odd dash of Parliament Funkadelic-inspired synth and rising above it all, some seriously soulful vocals.
It's infectious and uplifting, with the sort of riffs that get into your head and wont go away. The range of influences is clear but each seems to blend, stand out and then blend again.
Add onto this the indescribably arresting vocals and we have a band of impressive energy, talent and showmanship. If the music and energy wasn't enough they have the looks and attitude to match.
Their recent live performances have earned them a loyal following inspired by their considerable stage presence and their ability to make the whole room get up and dance. On the cusp of greatness, these lads remain a down to earth group of friends whose main joy is to jam, create and perform together.
