echowood playground

Echowood Playground is a project of Dom Hollands and Lizzie Houlston. All music is written, arranged, recorded and produced at home by us, using a digital 8 track, a couple of guitars with various effects, guitar and octave pedal for the bass parts and a keyboard for drums and organ parts, and anything else we can make sounds with! Most of the songs are usually improvised and composed whilst recording and messing on the eight track as we go along, with no writing or rehearsing before hand. To do this live we would have to go back to the 8 track to learn the parts, solos and vocal lines from ourselves. Its all very experimental, unplanned and usually performed, recorded, mixed and then put on to myspace in the same evening. We are just seeing what comes out really, and slowly finding our feet! We are however going to piece it all together and replace the demos with final cuts and mixes to form an album, and also release some singles along the way! :)
