What did you do? What did you say?
Did you walk or did you run away?
Where are you now? Where have you been?
Did you go alone or did you bring a friend?
I didn't know this but I noticed you're smiling.
Out of the sun, having fun and you're feeling free.
And I can tell you know how hard this life can be, but you keep on smiling for me.
What went right? What went wrong?
Was it the story or was it the song?
Was it overnight or did it take you long?
Was knowing your weakness what made you strong?
Or all of the above. Oh how I love to see you smiling.
And oh yeah, take a little pain just in case.
You need something warm to embrace, to help you put on a smiling face.
Put on a smiling face.
Anyone that can make me laugh or think. Bonus for both and Triple Bonus if both at the same time. People I can learn from and are easy to talk to. People who aren't afraid of being themselves (as long as yourself doesn't mean asshole). People who don't take life too seriously and enjoy the little things. Philosophical and deep conversations are always the best. People who like themselves. Favorably anyone into some facet of self expression like design, art or music. No judgmental people with something to prove. People with noble meanings and no hidden agendas. Fun!
My music tastes span 2.5 decades and while I love the 80's, I love the 90's more. There's some new bands that really speak to me as well in the new millenium. I tend to shy away from overproduced pop songs, I like songs with heart and pain. Happy, cheery dance songs have a permanent parking space, but aren't always there. They have their time
