Originally from Houston, Texas, Mariclaire began her musical peregrinate when she was still in grade school by singing and playing classical piano. Teaching herself guitar in high school, she found herself creating a fresh, unique blend of folk rock and experimental pop.
She is now based in Austin, where she is hitting the music scene with great magnetism and charm, while attending The University of Texas. She has recently recorded her debut album, 'Boys, Clouds, Etc.', with renowned producer Lars Goransson, who has worked with such artists as: The Cardigans, Oliver Future, What Made Milwaukee Famous, etc. Mariclaire is proof that a young soul can still have a mature, developed sound, as well as a frolicsome taste.
