I'd like to meet:
In the past, I organized live events. Here's a quick list of shows I've put onPlan-It-X Fest, independent publisher Sander Hicks of Soft Skull Press, Lost Film Fest, bringing out Mark Rudd (Weather Underground) and Ashanti Alston (ex-Black Panther) to speak together, etc. As an Events collective, we were organized as fuck.Note: I don't do that anymore. I'm busy "climbing trees, looking for rhythm everywhere".Seriously, if you've got a sense of rhythmn down with salsa, cumbia, afro-cuban, soul, funk, ragga, ect., holla at me. I'll try not to go comatose from all amazing music.

Learning how to dj and how to play the djembe while trying to remix my favorite artists (the Mars Volta and Art Blakey being my top two. the interplay of rhythm these two artists create in their work absolutely floors me). Lord, one day.
