Mannequin City was settled in 1631 by a pilgrimage of brutal trappers and pirates. The Sokokis tribe of Abenaki Indians once hunted and fished in the area, until they were subsequently wiped out by the settlers. The River Swanckadocke is said to claim three lives a year, as a curse was placed on whites by an angry Sokokis who was forced to watch his children drown.
More than 100 years later, the neighboring land of Robot City took control of the mills and factories in downtown Mannequin City and forced the workers into a life of servitude. Presently, not much has changed.
The "Setbacks" EP was recorded and mixed by Mathias Riffman at Riffman Records. Mastering was handled by Devon Wedge at Swollen Sound Studios. It is slated for a mid-summer release. For now, please enjoy three of the four tracks from the EP.
