Alla vigilia dell’uscita del nuovo album, siamo dispiaciuti di dover comunicare che i Fields of Jena si sono ufficialmente sciolti.
Dopo la dipartita dalla band di due storici membri per motivi personali , con i quali rimaniamo legati da stima e amicizia, abbiamo deciso che il cammino attraverso i “campi di Jena†era giunto al termine.
Prima di lasciarvi vi regaleremo degli altri brani inediti che metteremo on-line appena pronti; questi saranno gli ultimi ad essere prodotti col nome Fields of Jena.
Cogliamo l’occasione per ringraziare le persone che in questi dieci anni di attività ci sono state vicine e ci hanno supportato, tutti coloro che hanno fatto parte della storia dei Fields, tutte le bands con le quali abbiamo condiviso il palco e tutti coloro che hanno apprezzato la nostra musica e continuano a farlo.Non volgiamo però che questo sia un vero e proprio addio; i F.o.J non ci saranno più, ma presto avrete notizie di un progetto totalmente nuovo che sta “strisciando sotto la sabbia†in attesa di venire alla luce.

On the eve of the new album’s publication, we are sorry to inform the Fields of Jena have officially broken up. After the departure from the band of two memorable members for personal reasons (we are still bound by esteem and friendship) we decided the path through the “fields†of Jena was over.
Before leaving we will publish some new songs as soon as possible, so that they will be the last ones produced under the Fields of Jena name.
We size the chance to thank all the people that have been close to us and supported us in these ten years of activity, all those who have been part of the history of “Fieldsâ€, all bands we have shared the stage with, and all those who appreciated our music and continue to do it.
But we don’t want this will be a real farewell, there will be no more Fields of Jena, but you’ll hear soon news about a project that is crawling under the sand, waiting to come to light.

FIELDS OF JENAFields of Jena were formed back in 1997. The founding members were Daniele Parini and Marco Marinoni, then, after a few time Toni Viceconti and Marco Piana joined the band.The first demo entitled "…of tales and reality", recorded at new Hammil studio (Milan), saw the light in 1998, including five tracks and three interludes
At that time the sound of the band was a mix of death/black with heavy metal.After this first work Daniele Airoldi joined the band as drummer, and Fields of Jena played a lot of concerts.In April 2000 F.o.J began the recording of the new MCD at Sound Flowers rec. studio, in Magenta (MI).
In November the demo "Nocturnal elegies" came out: five tracks full of emotions, hate, love and despair.
Fo.J music moved towards a gothic/dark style mixed with black metal, with dark romantic lyrics.
This work was good received by fans, magazines and internet fanzines.The current line up includes:
Marco Marinoni (vocals), Daniele Parini and Luca Colombo (guitars), Toni Viceconti (bass guitar), Piana Marco (keyboards), Daniele Airoldi (drums).F.o.J have been doing a lot of live performances with bands as Opera IX, Andark, Lifend, Sine Macula, and many others. They played in different clubs as Binario Zero (MI), Transilvania Live in Milan (during the presentation of the film written by Dani Filth -Cradle of Filth-) and at Palaconcerti Aquatica (MI),
every time performing shows full of both musical and scenographical contents.In April 2002, F.o.J started the recording sessions of their new CD called "In Onirica".
After two month of work, the material has been completed: 35 minutes for an emotional mix of gothic, dark, rock an death.
New songs are more melodic and full of feelings: love, lust, misery and blood, melt in a dark embrace.
A long tour follow In Onirica Lp with great bands such as Anima Naive, Domina Noctis, Lustnotes, our friends Statica Nera and many others...As you see in the epitaph posted on this page...in Mach 2008 the journey come to end...
