Defining the overall sound of a band is never an easy task. Its made harder when their influences range from the country rock sounds of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers through to the summer pop melodies of Athlete. But side-stepping the debate of where you might find their new EP Myopic Avenue in your local HMV, one thing is certain: One Room House have a unique blend that is thoroughly enjoyable.
Hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, the band are keen to prove that the city has more to be proud of than Wrights pies and oatcakes (although, they stress that both are wonderful). As they begin to broaden their horizons delighting crowds in nearby towns and cities on a regular basis their feet remain on the ground. The band are adamant to enjoy it while it lasts and only hope that you might join them along the way.
