Myspace CodesI edited my profile at Doobix.comHello my name is Preston, I was born on April 28th 1983 in Detroit Michigan. At a young age I always knew that I wanted to do something in entertainment. Eversince I could hold a pencil I have been drawing, it was fun to me. My Family always encouraged me so I just kept it up. Along the way I sorta got obsessed with creating stuff for people to enjoy , but I also shut myself out from the rest of the world. When I was 13 my Father died and I was forced to face a childs worst fear... DEATH (but I still have a man that has continued and has always been my Dad). When its taht close you sorta understand that it is a part of life and un escapable, which would later be the driving force to see my dreams through.As I began my teen years I really started to notice music differently... I dunno its like something had just sparked and it intriguged me so I bagan writting poetry. Towards the end of my very unenjoyable highschool years I was getting very tired of drawing, ppl just didnt seemed interested in anything beyond "oooh thats really pretty , wooow". I was trying to convey messages through my art and it just wasnt happening, everyone was listening to music or watching tv and I had to come up with a new plan. College, woa... what an eye opening experience. I'd like to call them the ironic years. I attended the art institute of pittsburgh which oddly enough turned me on to music and visual media. I fell in love with music and making videos and people were more receptive to it and what I was conveying.In my first year there I met a great guy who was starting out in his music career, my dear friend Ben Hackett. He inspired me, showed me that its really possible to do anything you want. So at that point I began to create music. Studying my most favorite artist I found my first sound in techno. My friends that I had made were very encouraging and helped elevate me to the next level. shortly after I began creating mixes of top 40 songs, which inspired me to create my own music... my own message. So with all this music going on its obvious that I did not obtain that "industrial design degree" ...oh well.So after four years I decided to move to Tampa Fl. There I really kicked it into gear I started making music that people really started to like and consider it to be catchy. I began to sing my songs at a local kareoke bar and overtime I was really able to observe how people view me and my music on a more personal level. 8 months into my stay in tampa I decided that my next project would be better than the last, this time I was serious about what I wanted out of life. I Began work on "Break It Down Robot Brown" in march of 2006 and was determined to set it apart from any previous work. The first half of the album was close to completion, but still I felt something was missing.At this point I havent seen my family in about 5yrs. and I was very homesick. My mom was not doing well with her health so in June I decided that I would make one last trip home to regroup before I started to begin my journey to get my music out there. Being at home was a humbling expaerience and a dark time in my life, but it was what was missing from the album that I was working on. I found the fuel that I needed for the music , the fuel for my dreams to be fufilled. 5months in I finnished my album and was ready to go. My mom however wasnt doing too good so I stayed around just to be with her and help her through the rough times. Realizing that my mom would be okay I decided that it was time for me to go. So I spent the next 3months working to save money to move.So on February 4th I moved to Miami Beach Fl, and I am embarking on a journey to tap into the minds of my peers in our generation. I want to get to know what makes us tick and tick off. doing so I will be able to produce music that is uplifteing and deals with the issues of the real world and not the things that are just fed to us on the radio. with my space you have the control over what I produce by replying to my blogs on music, sound and what you like to hear as well as some issues ur having with life... its time for us to gain a place in history and not leave it to our generations past to leave a legacy. The time is now for us to act and join the revolution... THE SELF REVOLUTION and ....... "Break it Down With Robot Brown"
