Cool SlideshowsHREF="http://www.myspace.com/gothmetalfans"..Hey, im 43 yrs old. Was influenced by Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page,etc when i was a kid and played bass for awhile in a band. Then of course like many people i sold the bass and went on with life. My soon to be 17 yr old son who u c in the pic on the left has become quite a shredder with his BC Rich and said to me " Dad, why don't u start playing bass again and we could form a band. I guess u could say that most people would laugh and not take there kid serious. Well, im not your average 43 yr old, u c it all started when i got to hear Dimebag play 4 the first time. This guy didn't play to make money and be famous. He played because the guitar was a extension of himself. He played because it was his life. F**K i miss him!! Anyway, he opened a whole new world of music to me. Even though i still like the rock greats of the past my greatest love is DEATH metal,Black Metal, dark metal, metal core, progressive metal, and gothic metal. If i cannot have a dose of Behemoth, or Opeth,Emperor,Death,Vader, Morbid Angel, Lamb of god, Nile, etc i am empty inside. Im like a f***ing kid and now Nightborn is formed and i will plow the fields with my sickle along with my son and the other members of the band. We don't care if we make it, we just want to create a disturbance in life as we know it. Opeth has been such a huge influence on our music. Death and Black metal is a music that is savored like wine. U either love it or hate it. I need my Black metal, i need my death metal just like some people need Ativan!! M. Akerfeldt is pure genius!! I dedicate this site to all Black and death metal musicians, especially Venom, Immortal, Mayhem, for bringing us into the land of Black F***ing Metal. Seriously, there r no better people than death metal beer drinkers!!!
