I enjoy watching new films, esp. documentaries, whenever I have the chance. I'm pretty open minded but I have my favorites: Sam Pekinpah, Akira Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick, Blackslploitation flicks, Errol Morris documentaries, Terry Gilliam, Aaron Daronofsky, Milos Forman's Amadaeus, John Waters pre Ricky Lake, French new wave cinema, Frederico Fellini, David Lynch, and Monty Python flicks make me laugh when it's been a tough day.
Simpsons, Dave Chappelle, Sienfeld reruns, Family Guy, Frontline, PBS documentaries, NOVA- we don't really watch the idiot box in our home.
Henry Miller, Aliester Crowley, Camile Paglia, Chris Moore, Chuck Palahntuk, Poppy Z. Brite, Irving Welsh, Marquis de Sade, Eric Stanton, Leopold Von Sacher Masoch, George Orwell, Hunter S. Thompson, Anthony Burgess, Carl Jung, Pat Caliphia, the beat writers, Shel Silverstein, Dylan Thomas, Walt Whitman and TS Eliot. There are too many authors I enjoy to list here. I like a good history or anthropology book as well. "Stolen Continents" is a great look at early US and Latin American history through native eyes.
Chief Sitting Bull, Mohammed Ali, Jimmy Carter (okay- so he was ineffectual as a president, but he works tirelessly for peace), my dad, Nuada of the Silver Hand, Jesus, Krishna, Brighed, Noam Chomsky, Edward Said, Ghandi, my mother.
