Welcome to the Blue Collar Music Society.
The last couple of years have been good for our little group. Since forming early in 2005, hiding out in "the coop" and writing tunes, we finally released "All My Sins" in June of 2006. It was a pretty warm reception, actually. From there, we were honored by being a part of great events such as the Midwest Music Summit and the Franklin Folk Festival, with other shows in between. And since then, we've had the pleasure to play with excellent bands, among them Devil In A Woodpile (Bloodshot Records).
Our history isn't all that amazing. Gwen, Paul and Wayne got the whole project going, writing what we thought were some hilljack anthems. After Ryan stopped in, he polished us up a little bit, and we were ready to take the thing public. Cara Wahlers was a great addition to our CD playing some accordion; and Ben Hodges and Scott Tolley were both key drummers takin' the place of Paul while he set sail around the world for a bit.
Fall is turning into winter, and the band is back in the studio recording our sophomore effort! The demo sessions have started, and we'll be showing our faces around town probably in the Spring. We'll see y'all soon!
