About Me

Close your eyes and imagine The Red Hot Chili Peppers meeting Smokey Robinson in the Black Crowes' wine cellar. Ah yes...it's The StiNoS that you are hearing in that wine cellar. Funky, bouncy, soul music with a twisted dark side. Stino, Scott, Brad, Harmony, and Jimmy are heading back into the studio on June 22nd to record their next single. Anticipate some great music.

Band Members: The Stinos have undergone some big changes in the last few months, adding elctric violin player, Harmony Greenhalgh, and new bassist, Jimmy Giachetti. We will be recording a new track called "not enough rain" on June 22 at Plan 9 Studios with Mike Henderson. JUSTIN HARNED (lead vocals, keys, rhythm guitar)- Justin Harned was born in Colombus, Mississippi and grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado. Justin's attempted college years landed him at the University of Colorado at Boulder where he met lead guitarist, Brad Jones. Brad had recently purchased a condo directly across the hall from Justin, and Brad happened to teach guitar. Brad offered a free 15 minutes of advice on the guitar Justin had purchased but never played, and like a stray cat, Justin kept coming back for more. And so began Justin Harned's quest for music. Brad and Justin had clicked as friends, but neither had any clue The Stinos were only a short 3 years away. The second Justin strummed his first chord on a guitar was the second he knew what he wanted with his life. 3 years later Brad and Justin began the band, The Stinos. We're still working on the rest of the story. BRAD JONES (lead guitar, vocals)- Brad was born and raised in Montague, Michigan where he began playing guitar at age nine. He has studied with country session guitarist Dave Rudolph, and is currently earning his Bachelor's degree in jazz studies from the University of Colorado at Denver under Drew Morrell and Paul Musso. Brad currently lives with fellow band member, Justin Harned in Westminster, CO. Brad is an outdoor maniac enjoying hiking, rock climbing, archeology. He is a very dedicated guitar teacher while not out on the road touring with his other band, Boulder Acoustic Society. www.boulderacousticsociety.net SCOTTIE "BOWMAN" ALLER (drums/percussion, vocals)- Scottie “bowman” Aller hails from a tiny village in northern Colorado called Fort Collins . It is here where his legend begins as a young drummer playing punk and jazz music through out his childhood. After his tribe’s traditional “becoming a man” ceremony, better known as high school graduation, he ventured the vast openness of Colorado and found himself in Denver where he is now a music business major at UCD and works way too much for his life to be completely enjoyable. Scottie-boy values humor and being a complete dork far beyond the average person, which is what makes him such a hoot to be around. His greatest claim to fame is the eccentric decorating jobs that he does on his friend, "fat tron's," car with varrious sorts of roadkill.
