Music:

I have a great love for the Beatles and Todd Rundgren, Carol King, Carly Simon and James Taylor, Karla Bonoff, Bonnie Raitt, Fleetwood Mac, really like Peter Frampton, Sting, the Moody Blues, the Eagles, Cat Stevens and Steely Dan. But I now LOVE SWITCHFOOT, and Jon Foreman as a solo artist. Being an old mom like myself, it's hard for me to believe I could really fall for a band of these days, in place of my older favorites. But wow - as one of my bowling league ladies has said - I'm "re-living my teenage years" and having the time of my life with new music, tunes, and lyrics that have spiritual meaning with a caring insight for this world. It's really fun sharing their music with my 17 year old twin girls too!!ON A MORE PERSONAL NOTE, I AM VERY PROUD OF MY BIG BROTHER, DON BASSEY. He plays bass for the Volker Strifler Band, who just released a new cd. You can check out my bro and this rockin' R&B band at: http://www.myspace.com/donbassey and at http://www.myspace.com/volkerstriflerband He's just cool : DDon with the Volker Strifler BandLet's get jon foreman to come to tucson =)

Movies:

Recently "The World's Fastest Indian" has taken my number one movie fav. spot. I love "Field Of Dreams". "The Lord of the Rings" and the "Harry Potter" movies are way up there too. The "Star Wars" series is great, Indiana Jones stories, and "Fandango" is a classic. And then there's "Highlander" - "There can be only one!" clip from the new movie "The Source" =]

Television:

Lost, 24, X Files, Supernatural, Alias, and the Highlander series. Been watching John Of Cincinnati; it's intriguing and confusing :P

Books:

The Bible, the Hobbit and the trilogy, Harry Potter books, the Chronicles of Narnia, all of the Winnie the Pooh and Laura Ingals Wilder stories, Beatrix Potter stories, the Left Behind series, and almost any Arthurian Legend book. Comic stripps - Baby Blues, Zits, and Pickles.

Heroes:

Jesus, my family, my bestest friends Karen & Bobbi, my bowling league ladies, our church's retired pastor Fred, our church's interim pastors, Kathryn & Richard, our church's new pastor John & his family, Tigger and Joe Cool.
