I started Music Awardz because to be truly honest… I was fed up with the way that other music contests were run. As a musician/Engineer/and producer I have worked with Grammy winning producers and Engineers that have sold 10’s of millions of records, and have been in studios all over the world.
I myself have entered many online contests, they would always boast about how they would do this and that, but when it came down to it they were just out to take your cake and give you the crumbs. I knew they didn’t care about the music one bit, just their paychecks. One even sent me a fake award and told me that I could record in there studio, sure they did, they also wanted money to do it! I was tired of it, and one day I said to myself, I am going to team up with some of the industry’s best and create a contest by musicians for musicians. So, I did.
I wanted to give artists all over the world the opportunity to be heard, and feel like what they do is important, because it is! And I couldn’t think of a better way to do it. I want to give you the artists the ultimate exposure you deserve, so what better way than exposing you to more than just that dive bar down the street, but to the entire world! And, if you win sending you and your band all the way to the most beautiful place on earth… Yes that’s right… Hawaii! To record in one of the most coveted and renowned studios in the world.
As musicians, we have all felt that feeling of being a bit lost in a sea of a million other bands. How do you get that record deal you always wanted? How do you get heard? And where do you even begin?
The way that’s done is talent, hard work, and tons of exposure. You have done the hard work, you have the talent, now is the time for you to show it to the world and we are here to help you do just that. And if you win, you and your band will be on your way to the Islands, to do what you do best… Music.
