The Black Rabbits

They look young but sound old. - Q's House

About Me

..
Jetson Black: Vocals, Guitar, & Lyrics.
Skyler Black: Percussion.
Reah Smith: Bass & Backing Vocals.
My brother and I started The Black Rabbits in December of 2001. Having just picked up our instruments we taught ourselves to sing and play. When we were kids our dad would play Monkees, Neil Diamond, and Elvis records for us and we would go crazy. There is a home video of us dancing around singing Burning Love with psuedo Elvis hairdos. Our music is mostly influenced by groups from the 60's and 70's such as The Doors, Bob Dylan, The Knack, The Turtles, The Zombies, and Jefferson Airplane.
"The Black Rabbits take all the best elements of music from the past 40 years and leave listeners with a tune they’re humming days later." - Q's House
"Longwood's the Black Rabbits, made up of brothers Jetson and Skyler Black, along with bassist Reah Smith, rock a Strokes-inspired slow-slow-loud style that is more refined and less buzzy but still good garage rock revival." - Orlando Weekly
"Sometimes when one is looking for something special, he or she does not need to look far. In the case of some great music, The Black Rabbits are the perfect formula. With their catchy tunes and fun lyrics, the band blends a nice mixture of the old and new in rock and pop." - Junior's Cave
