I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a music attorney by training (although most lawyers bore the living shit out of me). I had the good fortune to start my music career working with Don Passman, headed up west coast business affairs for a division of Sony Music, then decided to branch out on my own. My biz partners and I focus on music, online and mobile ventures. I'm one of the guys you should punch for creating ringtones. How's that for a claim to fame? Funny - I know. Now we produce, create and distribute all kinds of things online and on mobile. We've just launched our new music company (no we're not signing anyone yet - more to come on that). Personally, I keep a toe in production, and do some personal management for artists, performers and such. I like continuing to work with talent. It annoys me that so many facets of the entertainment business exploit talent. I like to help level the playing field. If you're in any of that or want to be, and have questions, feel free to hit me up. I'm an email junkie so I'll write back. What else can I say? Personally I'm into music, horror movies, anything edgy or taboo, the beach, grey goose, laughing - have to keep laughing, and hanging out with my brother and my friends. Not into people who say "it can't be done", boring people, late people, Madonna (yes, I know - but she aint packin vocals), Nicolas Cage in any serious movie, "business affairs" guys at record companies (often arrogant, mental lightweights), believers who think only their faith gets into heaven, and people that say they don't have any baggage (they're either in denial or boring). There's lots in life I want to do (hang gliding). All in all, though, I have a blessed life. Everyone I love is well. I have good friends - and I'm generally happy. Then again, the Dalai Lama said "I believe that the very purpose of our life is to seek happiness." The very motion of our lives has to be toward that end, no?a

My Interests

Way too many to mention.....

I'd like to meet:

You...if you sing like Mariah and dance like Justin! Yep yep. Nah I love meeting all kinds of people. As to what I look for in true friends - bold, driven, determined, edgy, funny, talented, sincere, smart and honest. I prefer to hang out with people who have their own personalities, and aren't afraid to put me in my place if they think I'm out of line - which I hope isn't required often). AOL IM: decademob

Music:

Everything from the Verve to Matchbox 20, Elvis to Shania. Anyone who can bring it. Top solo artist - tie between Christina A and Janet. Top group - Pink Floyd. Jo Jo is definitely one to watch.... Justin T should have been nominated repeatedly for his last album - someone's asleep at the switch.

Heroes:

My brother - far and away my greatest inspiration. John Wayne. KDT. Everyone at St. Jude's Hospital. Anyone who wears a uniform in harm's way. AIDS orphans in Africa, or anywhere else for that matter.
