About Me
The universe has been damned by the Spirit of War since its conception, for he was there and longed for the time alone with nothingness. The void however, despite his efforts, was filled. Rage grew in his heart made of spirits of doom and most doom. So, the 11 gods of the universal planes decided to banish the Spirit of War to a black hole at the end of time where he was surrounded by puppies and butterflies and Raffi songs: it was called Fields of Tranquility. One has never seen such anger. For 7 billion years bloody, infectious rage seeped from his pores into the land of calm, morphing the creatures into flaming beasts of hell. He named the ones that walked on solid earth Deathdogs, two-legged giants with hairy flesh and dinosaur tails, arms of steel forged in the flames of hatred and 10 thousand hook-shaped teeth per jaw. The ones that flew he called mlosvises, griffins of enormous stature that bore machinegun legs, batwings and a shotgun head blanketed by thousands of poisonous horns. When he was satisfied, he began to work. From the hearts of Deathdogs, the Spirit of War began to forge a hammer ten feet in length. The shaft was coated with the blood of martyred women, and the head was crafted as a maul, with a heavy axe blade fused by souls of the damned. When it was completed, all manner of evil hosts surrounded the weapon and bowed before its great power. Its maker laughed six times with triumph. The Spirit of War was ready to make his escape. The seal over the portal to the Fields of Tranquility was branded with the blood of each of the 11 gods of the universal planes. It was crafted to withstand the power 1x10^22 hydrogen bombs, the exact power used to create the universe, and marked with the only known route to The Fields of Tranquility. It was never thought that the Spirit of War had the ability to approach it, much less break free because the gods had added an extra bit of adhesive to the incantation: the Trident of Time.It was a fearsome staff, the only item known by the gods capable of jumping through the dimensional planes of time, but, it required the power of the gods to activate it, something the Spirit wouldn’t know until it was too late. So, with a mighty heave the Spirit of War cast his maul to the ends of The Fields of Tranquility, beyond all he could see, and into the seal. The wall burst forth into the universe, spreading to all ends of all 11 planes. The pieces showered down on worlds and their beauty drove creatures mad with lust and hate. The Spirit of War was free at last, and walked to the edge of the black hole that had been his prison for what felt like an eternity, only to stare at the greatest weapon the gods had ever forged, a weapon he was now incapable of using without immense power, the power of the hammer just thrown into oblivion. On that day the gods of the 11 universal planes were cursed by evil, for the Spirit sent 6 million Deathdogs and 6 million Mlosvis out in search of his hammer.Part IIAbraham Brown isn’t human, but resembles the earthen species. He hails from Belos, a pacifist planet proud of their global trade systems. Abe was born from anger, though. His mother raped by the Spirit of the Grave when evil was released from the Fields of Tranquility. It was his angry, impure heart that forced shame upon him, causing his banishment from society to the wilderness. Abe Brown would live and die in a cave so that he would cause no darkness on the peace of Belos. He grew strong learning to hunt, and stronger with every kill. His strength, mixed with the death in his blood would be all that saved him.As Abraham slept, 500 feet below the surface, the face of Belos was soon to change. As luck would have it, the Hammer of War crashed through the atmosphere of Belos, ripping the peace apart with a thunderous blast, drowning Belos in a hail storm of fire and carcasses. Those left alive were forced out of pacifism, but they were weak. It became a land of greed, of survival.Abraham emerged from his cave to breathe the filthy air. The stink of death caught his nose and as Abraham emerged from the cave, the Spirit of the Grave emerged from Abraham. There was an evil near and he could feel its presence.Survivors crowded around the Hammer. Twenty dead bodies laid scorched at the base of the crater, the bodies of those hungry enough for the power and brave enough to approach the weapon. To be continued....
