Edenhead was formed in Stockholm, Sweden in early 2004. The members, Henrik Edenhead (vocals), David Andersson (guitar), Bremen (drums) and Courten (bass) felt that something was lacking in today’s hard rock scene, and decided to fill that void themselves. During a couple of intense studio sessions they recorded what was to become their first release, the “Wave of Thunder†EP, released on the Swedish independent label Dumpling Beat. The EP, released in early 2005, created a buzz on the Swedish metal scene, the song “Love lies dead†was featured in the Nokia N-Gage commercial 2004, and several record companies showed interest in the band.Edenhead strives to create modern hard rock/heavy metal with strong melodies and lots of attitude, combined with a slightly progressive twist, all in the three-minute format. Their influences span everything from the earliest rumblings of 70´s hard rock to today’s heavy metal greats, but with a sound all of their own and outstanding songwriting, something that is sadly missing from many contemporary metal records.During 2005 Edenhead inked a deal with an American independent label. Edenhead has just finished recording their debut album, which will be released in 2007.
