My father got him when he was 6 months old from a woman with a terminal illness. He lived with my family for about a yr & a half, along with Niles, my families other dog. From the day I met King we had an instant connection, for all of you animal lovers out there, I know you understand. Even though technically at the time my father was his master, no matter where I went in the house he was always close behind. For the past three years it has just been King and I! I got a new place (that would finally allow dogs!), and as usual, King was right there with me. Up until a few months ago it was just the two of us, until my brother moved in with us. King is a shepherd to the truest definition of the breed. He is a 100% full shepherd and has all the traits, he is extremely intelligent & loyal, extremely territorial, and extremely protective of his mom. Outside, he is the friendliest dog in the world... he loves to play with all dogs big and small and even has a cat friend that lives around the corner! Inside, his protective nature prevails, is never more than 10 feet away from me, and the only man he 'allows' to sit on the same couch as me is my brother. They say a good dog will bite someone for you, and a great dog won't bite... he will just show them that he can... and that's exactly what he does. He is an alpha male shepherd, and he is my best friend.
