Andrea Molinari

Andrea Molinari was born on the 15th of Genuary 1986 in Jesi a small city near Ancona. He studied there and in 2005 he obtained a degree in the local scientific high school whit 82/100. During the school he passed also two english courses of University of Cambridge: PET (with Merit) and First Certificate in English (that has been awarded with grade C). Since the age of 8 he started studying classic guitar in a local music school and at the age of 12 he studied electric guitar. In 2005 he moved to Rome to study in University of Music, a private music school. Every year he won the highest scolarship and studied rock, classical and jazz music. In 2006 jazz become his first passion. He studied with Alberto Parmegiani, Fabio Mariani, Giorgio Rosciglione, Chester Harlan, Greg Burk, Antonio Tosques, Ettore Gentile; private lessons with Emanuele Basentini, Eddy Palermo, Enrico Bracco, Gaetano Partipilo and masterclass with Benny Golson, Jimmy Cobb, Pat Martino and Kurt Rosenwinkle. In 2007 he played in the "Mario Corvini’s jazz big band" and in some of the most important jazz event in Rome like “Villa Celimontana Summer Festival” , Auditorium Parco Della Musica and in some Jazz clubs like Gregory’s, Alexander Platz, ecc. In December 2007 he won the best group’s award at “Roma Jazz Session” contest with the final at Teatro delle Muse in Rome. In March 2008 he made his first recording with Paolo Recchia (Sax), Domenico Sanna (Piano), Marco Bardoscia (bass), Roberto Pistolesi and Gianluca Mancini (Drums). On the 6th of June 2008 he obtained a degree At University Of the Music in Rome with 10/10 with honors.
