The Goodbyes

Raw:Jangly

About Me

The Goodbyes have arrived. Not just a product of their influences but the result of hard work and limitless tenacity, this London based three piece have moulded a sound that is unique and yet at once familiar. Recorded at the prestigous Premises studios, their warm textured music is a remedy for a time so dominated by commercial, indie 'twang-rock'. Lyrically and musically The Goodbyes display a sophistication far beyond their tender years and their recent support slots for Ed Harcourt and Nizlopi have proved them to be a powerful force on the London live scene.

"The Goodbyes kicked off with a raw jangly set spiced with catchy songs and arrangements. Strong vocals that could be good on record. This band could really make an impact..." - Tube Club
"London based edgy indie rock band, whose songs are full of dramatic highs and lows, combining an epic vision with a moving pathos." - Echoes - Bullet Bar
"The Goodbyes are on 'A Million Watts' and this makes them all Talking Heads twitchy, which is fine, but the best thing is the way that they piss all over a faux U2 chorus thing with banks of scrappy guitars, we like them, they shout, they mess about and they have a rather fine song here." - Unpeeled Magazine
