Hmmm about me... Well if someone was to tell you about me I would hope that they would say I am a friendly, giving, loving person who goes out of her way to make her friends & family feel happy & safe. I find myself to be overall a happy person who loves being with family & friends. My family is so important to me and if anyone would have told me a few years ago that I would move 4 hours away from them I would have said "Impossible!" But in May 2005 I did just that and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I miss having them in my daily life. But the flip side is moving away brought me much happiness since I moved in with the love of my life John. John is a very talented acoustic rock musician ( http://johntaglieri.com/ ) who stole my heart over in a long distance, all night phone call. Today we live in New Jersey with our dog Java, and two cats Munchkin & Sammy. I am really looking forward to starting a family with John and living happily ever after ;0) But right now life is great too. I spend my weekdays working at an IP Law firm in Manhattan. It was not the dream job I though I would have but I do enjoy it and it allows me to spend my free time doing what I do love and that is mostly being around music and people who love similar music too. My nights are spent mostly supporting John and living in the life a full time musician. Which means lots of fun! :0)
Another way I combine fun & music is by going on an annual cruise called The Rock Boat. ( www.therockboat.com ) It was started in 2001 when the band Sister Hazel decided to invite 400 fans to go on a cruise with them. Since then it has grown to an annual sellout ship of 2000 fans climbing aboard with 25 or so bands for a 4-day sail out to the Caribbean. It is a huge party of non-stop music, fun & friends. I have made so many wonderful friends through this band and this cruise. It actually is how & where I met John. So I really hope to continue going on TRB for many years to come.
As you probably guessed my favorite band other than John's, is Sister Hazel. Their music just always seems to lift me up when I really need it and just puts a smile on my face and a bounce in my step. I am affectionately part of a community of people called the Hazelnuts. They are the dedicated fans that surround this band. I have never been part of a group of people more comforting, nice and generous. I have made so many long life friendships within this group. No matter where I am I know I can call up a fellow “Nut†to meet up with me for lunch or give me a place to sleep. If you love music and just all around nice people pick up a copy of the new Sister Hazel CD "Absolutely" and you will soon become a fan and a part of this fun world too.
