The most important things to me in life are: my family, my friends, Chinese food, musicals, ale, dancing, researching random things to appease my random curiosity, puzzles, tattoos, playing with sigils, tarot cards, BBC, horror movies, occultism, philosophy, parapsychology, human anatomy and physiology, pin-up girls (I love Gil Elvgren's work), Star Wars Galaxies, and Doctor Who. I am obsessed with books. Not just reading them, but also looking at them on a shelf, holding them, smelling them, the idea that an entire world is contained in beautiful words, just a few of which could change your life as you know it.

I neither entertain masochists nor suffer fools gladly. If you are either of the above, don't waste your time contacting me. Then again, if you fall under either category, you are probably blissfully unaware of your lesser attributes so you will likely contact me anyway. Hell, you're probably not even reading this right now because you're either illiterate or lazy in which case I'm wasting my breath.
"Realize your youth while you have it. Don't squander the gold of your days, listening to the tedious, trying to improve the hopeless failure, or giving away your life to the ignorant, the common, and the vulgar, which are the aims, the false ideals, of our age. Live! Live the wonderful life that is in you! Let nothing be lost upon you. Be always searching for new sensations. Be afraid of nothing." - Oscar Wilde (the Picture of Dorian Gray)
"I mean it as a compliment when I say that you could almost define a philosopher as someone who won't take common sense for an answer." - Richard Dawkins
"Tell me one last thing," said Harry, "Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?"..."Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it is not real?" - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but, actually, from a non-linear non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff." - The Doctor (Blink)
"...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth" - Sherlock Holmes (The Sign of Four)
"So this is hell. I'd never have believed it. You remember all we were told about the torture-chambers, the fire and brimstone, the "burning marl." Old wives' tales! There's no need for red-hot pokers. HELL IS--OTHER PEOPLE!" - Jean Paul Sartre (No Exit)
"Some things you lose and some things you just give away." - Jack Off Jill
"I have had few friends in my life, and if I live a thousand years, I suspect that this will remain true. There is little to lament in this fact, though, for those who have called me friend have been persons of great character and have enriched my existence" - Drizzt "Exile"
"All my life, I was my own person. The choices I made, I made of my own free will. I was never held in thrall by anyone or anything; not even the Queen of Darkness herself! Bow to others in reverence and respect, but never in slavery..." - Raistlin
"Nature is trying very hard to make us succeed, but nature does not depend on us. We are not the only experiment." - R. Buckminster Fuller
"There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in." - Leonard Cohen
"Don’t change color to match the walls. Look like you belong and the walls will change color to match you." —Kender proverb
Right now, I'm really enjoying Kate Nash, Billie Piper, Amy Winehouse, Proclaimers, Rogue Traders, Scissor Sisters, The Streets, and Rivermaya. I also love Peggy Lee, Portishead, Devil Doll, and Andrew Sisters. My constants are Celtic music, swing music, rockabilly, and classical. The most beautiful sounds in the world are bagpipes and the cello.
All horror especially Asian horror, sci-fi, fantasy, movies by Rob Zombie, John Waters, Kevin Smith, Tod Browning, Tim Burton, and Quentin Tarintino. I love Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, The Last September, Angela's Ashes, Kill Bill, The Unknown, Braveheart, Clue, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. I like big, epic movies with lots of action, musicals, little independant dramas, and kitzchy B cult classics. I am of the opinion that ANY bad or mediocre movie can be made better by adding a zombie.
Ghost Hunters, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Mr. Bean, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Catherine Tate Show, Life on Mars, Sarah Jane Smith Adventures, Top Gear.

Right now, I'm reading the Weather Warden series by Rachel Caine. It's fabulous!
Anyone who is told: "You can't do that" and responds with: "Watch me". Anyone who sees reality as a challenge to be overcome. Those with the imagination and the perseverence to bend reality with their will. Those with passion and drive, those who learn for the sake of learning. My biggest inspiration is myself: my failures and my successes shape me and motivate me.
