About Me

Doctor Smith are a five piece band hailing from all over North Dublin, Longford and Offaly. Playing together for about 7 months they’ve done 20+ gigs ranging from supports in Whelan’s, The Village, Crawdaddy and the Sugar Club to a headliner in Temple Bar Music Centre and a bunch of pay-your-dues gigs in Voodoo, Fibbers, The Mezz and Doran’s not forgetting winning the King Kong Klub in Pravda while including a showstopper of a tune on the (risqué, considering the event) subject of Monkeyhunting. They’ve garnered a few kindly mentions from the Hot Press coverage of the local scene and have been interviewed for and played live on Dublin South FM’s On the Verge show as well as appearing twice at their weekly shows in Sin-E. Prior to Phantom FM returning to the airwaves Doctor Smith were also on the ‘internet’ Phantom FM’s ‘A’ rotation list with a track from their last “15% Animal” EP. In short they’ve been working quite hard to do what they want to do and make playing music their lives.
