DRUMMER FOR WALT WILKINS AND THE MYSTIQUEROS.I'm a musician because I have no choice. Though for many years I ignored the call, the higher powers involved have made it loud and clear. This is what I'm meant to do.
Music has played a huge part in my life since I can remember. At six or seven I took piano lessons. Later a few guitar lessons. At ten I picked up the drums. In school I played sax. MTV videos shaped me into a hungry teenager looking for an outlet and the drums provided just that. My freshman year in college I played with my first band, a blues outfit. A couple of years later it was top 40 rock. After college work took over and music took the back burner for awhile. One day while jamming with some fellas at a backyard barbecue, I was introduced to the "Texas music scene". With all the great home grown music out there the fire to play was burning hotter than ever. Soon every weekend was booked and work was "getting in the way". I soon realized that I might just be crazy enough to try to make a living playing music. The opportunity to play came up at the same time I was being let go from work due to "downsizing". Fast forward through a couple of years of long distance love and many uncertain nights on stages trying to find my place and you find me here today. I'm blessed to be where I'm at today. I'm teamed up with the greatest group of guys anyone could ask for. Things have come full circle for me. From listening to Walt Wilkins songs in college to sharing stages with him, the circle for me is complete.
