First off my family - I am madly in love with my wife of 7 years and my 2 year old son! Sports fanatic - especially college football and basketball - GO TECH! I also enjoy ice hockey (GO PREDATORS & STARS!) believe it or not considering I grew up in the sands of West Texas!
I can appreciate a wide genre of music. I have prided myself on the fact that no matter who the drummer/band is that I may be watching at that time - I can learn something from him/her - no matter if it is Dave Weckl or some guy in a local bar band. I have found lately though leaning towards the alt country vibe - like the "Texas music" scene - some examples of this "vibe": Whiskeytown, Walt Wilkins, Patti Griffin, Bonnie Bishop, Ryan James, Cory Dutton, Lyle Lovett, Jason Boland, Cory Morrow, Kevin Fowler, and Aaron Watson are some favorites of mine. However, I also like The Black Crowes, Dave Matthews Band, and 3 doors down.
I generally read books on the topics of politics, history, or military. At this time I am reading "Knight - My Story" - which I might add is a great book so far! Another book that I was really impressed with was "American Soldier" a book on retired General Tommy Franks.
