The Thousandaires

The Thousandaires are a Dublin based four piece formed in the summer of 2007.
We all met through the exciting world that is Dunnes Stores and it was until many months later, after long musical discussions whilst pushing many a trolley and the making of that final chicken fillet baguette that the idea of a band came about! Through a phonecall from one dirty man a three piece was formed! We began writing and soon enough we began performing in many local venues around Dublin thanks to the likes of Saccade and Earthquake Hair. Originally playing as an acoustic three-piece consisting of two guitars and bass, it wasnt until the cold dark month that was January 2008 fate re-introduced Garrett. He showed up with a set of drum sticks and it wasnt long until we had created the sound we had been waiting for. Thanks to the introduction of a drummer to the band and of-course the Dunnes payroll, which helped purchase aload of new gear, our music had started to progress. The song are flowing and our love for biscuits hidden under hats has only grown....

We have just finished recording our first demo as a four piece thanks to Jay Fowler and his critically acclaimed Sweatbox Studios, Donaghmede! We'd like to say a big 'Nice One Yeh!' to Jay(your man out of Saccade with the beard) for the work he's done for us quote,'pack of monkeys'!
