[RAW] are a student union society dedicated to all genres of rock music. Normally, here I’d make a list of all the genres I can think of, but that’d be a bit shit, wouldn’t it? Whatever your taste in music, whether your an emo kid, a metal head, or just an all-out rocker, there’s bound to be someone in [raw] who shares your tastes.
We’re planning on making this year the best year for your Rock Society. [RAW] are teaming up with both the MMU Rock Soc, and Salford Uni’s Rock Soc to form the biggest collective of Rock Societies in the country. That sounds like something you want to be part of, doesn’t it?
We’ve got shedloads of events planned, including the craziness of going out EVERY SINGLE DAY during Freshers Week, free band nights (Are you in a band? Let us know.), film nights, quizes, Laser Quest, nights out in the best rock clubs in Manchester, and curry nights. AND, if your lucky, we might treat you to trips to clubs in other cities across the country. Alongside these ace events, we’ll also be publishing a monthly ‘zine, and a fortnightly podcast. So if you fancy flexing your creative muscles, let us know and we’ll hook you up and get you involved.
