About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 In the winter of 2005, four men joined beneath the earth. Two of these men, came together many years before to form a pact that would ensure an inevitable existence through their sonic endeavours. With the refusal to live off drum loops and rotating bassists, they were then joined by two more. This new configuration was anxiously attacked in all directions to find common ground in which to build on. After a year of various experimentations and another winter gone by, they had become a band of multifarious intent. With the love for sound manipulation, textured percussion, growing and enveloping structure combined with cohesive awareness, they would bring their sound up from the deep. The Great Awake is now a full yet hungry band with a sometimes overwhelming yet uplifting live experience. In search of new backdrops to expose their sound under, there is no time to waste. Through city's and towns willing to listen they will embark on as many journeys as it takes to fulfill there need to create and perform. Close to a full length recording, they have survived off their first ep which has gotten them into various shows and festivals, and with it being almost a year since their birth and subsequent first recordings, there's no telling what this next and long overdue album will assume. Blah blah blah the end.
