reading, writing, social and cultural issues, music, horses and dogs, good times, the sound of rain on a tin roof, sleep (with windows open & a gentle breeze), linen, peonies, good movies, great music, short stories, epic novels & everything inbetween, the smell of freshly cut grass, spirituality, antiques, flea markets, cooking, decorating, conversation.
I use music like some people use drugs...to suit or change the way I feel.
I prefer movies that are character driven with great dialogue. No horror (I get nightmares). Comedies are my absolute favorite. I'm deeply affected by heavy drama , so anything with tragedy has to have an optimistic ending for me.
it's usually off. I Tivo a lot (My Name is Earl, The Daily Show, Criminal Minds (love Mandy Patinkin) and a few HBO shows.
A good story with a moral. I've recently been gobbling up anything to do with culture, personal struggle, triumph, discovery, spirituality and philosophy. I do lighten up sometimes, but literature with a weighty message is what I most appreciate.
My heroes are people that return lost wallets, pick up lost dogs on the highway, keep their word, support their community, promote peace and understanding, create beauty, speak their truth and allow others theirs
