I love to sleep, nap, doze, go beddy-bye, catnap, catch many z's, or forty winks, hibernate, nod off, repose, rest, get some sack time, have the sandman visit, practice shuteye, take a siesta, slumber, snooze, but most of all, DREAM.
I'm in graduate school for social work. I spent most of my life unaware (asleep - ha!), so I'm making up for it by educating myself on how to make a difference. I have much to learn, and God willing, enough time to do it and begin affecting change. I despise apathy.

I like to write and share, although I often admit my writing is much like my singing: I enjoy it more than others! I love to laugh and be silly. I like to discuss deep meaningful subjects about things that are completely beyond me.
I'm very social and my favorite things about MySpace are discovering / meeting people, reading their blogs, and writing my own. I write what's inside at the moment. Sometimes it's silly, often it's boring, occasionally it's insightful, but always, it's me.

My Interests

reading, writing, social and cultural issues, music, horses and dogs, good times, the sound of rain on a tin roof, sleep (with windows open & a gentle breeze), linen, peonies, good movies, great music, short stories, epic novels & everything inbetween, the smell of freshly cut grass, spirituality, antiques, flea markets, cooking, decorating, conversation.

Music:

I use music like some people use drugs...to suit or change the way I feel.

Movies:

I prefer movies that are character driven with great dialogue. No horror (I get nightmares). Comedies are my absolute favorite. I'm deeply affected by heavy drama , so anything with tragedy has to have an optimistic ending for me.

Television:

it's usually off. I Tivo a lot (My Name is Earl, The Daily Show, Criminal Minds (love Mandy Patinkin) and a few HBO shows.

Books:

A good story with a moral. I've recently been gobbling up anything to do with culture, personal struggle, triumph, discovery, spirituality and philosophy. I do lighten up sometimes, but literature with a weighty message is what I most appreciate.

Heroes:

My heroes are people that return lost wallets, pick up lost dogs on the highway, keep their word, support their community, promote peace and understanding, create beauty, speak their truth and allow others theirs
