"Portraits of Murder is a progressive metal 5 piece from north eastern New Jersey. A desire to achieve musical perfection as well as success has driven this band since the first day they picked up their instruments in high school. The task of balancing heavy metal with jazz influenced mellow interludes; depressing doom metal melodies with catchy upbeat choruses and still keeping the instrumentation as technical as possible is a challenge they enjoy taking on. Their 3 song self titled EP was a quick glimpse of Portraits of Murder and the direction they came from, but their new material will deliver a fresh taste of originality and hopefully bring forth a new trend to the music scene: creativity."

The past year has been a difficult one for pom with constant line up changes and delays on their new material, etc.
Because of these incidents and several personal and business related issues, the core members of the band (Ian, Frank and Chirag) have decided to make a few changes.
