Portaits of Murder started in 2002 as Kno Talint with Frank, Chirag, and Ian. The three founding members needed a bassist-Jay(Bassist Number 1). And they needed a drummer-Chris(Drummer Number 1).
Not too long after, Chris left and now they had no drummer. They soon found Pablo(Drummer Number 2). And changed their whole style.
Then Jay left the band and they were bassist-less. Then the name "Kno Talint" was dropped and Portraits of Murder became the new name.
Still with no bassist, they got Matt(Bassist Number 2, and Frank's baby brother) to fill in as a temp and do a few shows.
PoM wanted a bassist that was dedicated, skilled and obviously older so they got Peter(Bassist Number 3). They recorded a 3 song EP (which can be heard at www.myspace.com/portaitsofmurder)
Then yet another member left PoM. This time it was Pablo. Now in dire need of a drummer, they found German(3rd drummer). The did a few shows with him.
As of August 24th, 2006, PoM is once again bassist-less as PoM parts ways with their bassist Peter. An official statement was made by Frank and it says...
"We have decided to make some alterations in the band and we came to a decision to part ways with former bassist Peter Ortiz. Peter joined the band a year and half ago and it was a great ride with him. We would all like to thank Peter for his contributions to the band during his stay with us. We all love him like family so it does not change anything. We are still friends and we wish him the best of luck, if anyone needs a bassist give him a holler he is a great musician and great person to get along with. With that we are holding tryouts for a new bassist. Keep checking up on us to hear who the new bassist will be..."

FINES DOUBLED IN WORK AREA *DETOUR*
A blog written by PoM's rhythym guitarist announced the arrival of 2 more members. Ying, their 4th bassist and Mike, their 4th drummer.
"We have found ourselves with a new bassist. His name is Ying and we are very happy to have acquired him for our practice of medicine. He is a great bassist and a great musician, welcome to the team Ying.
In other news music is being written and are working with yet another new drummer. Yes thats right. We had to take care of some things and due to distance we weren't able to keep a strong foundation with former drummer German due to lack of practice. Thank you German for the time you spent with us. We are also happy to announce that the new drummer for Portraits of Murder is no other than Mike Oquendo.(former drummer of Junta) Mike and Ying are helping in the writing process and we know now that the band is basically set with the lineup."
