Jim's studied music and percussion at U.W.Eau Claire. He has studied drums with Paul Wertico, Gordy Knutson, Ron Keezer and Dennis Lester.
Jim has been involved in many recording situations over the years doing jazz, big-band, pop, blues, folk, accoustic and a variety of other genres and styles of music. From doing entire cd recordings with bands, to adding drums and percussion after the fact or to the very challenging task of recording replacement drum tracks, Jim has had a wide variety of experience and has been able met the different needs of artists and perform well the tasks required of him. With the technology of today’s computers and the digital world of recording, it's easy to not even be in the same country to interact with and do recording with whomever you want. Being well networked in the Madison, Wisconsin area and having access to great studios and engineers, it makes it all the more possible to get the most professional results that can be obtained today.
