About Me

We are a three piece band: guitar, Robert....bassist, Ron....and drummer, Joel. The initial meeting and foundation for what is now 'The Bug Bites' took place many moons ago. Ron and Joel met during the meteor shower of 1992. Joel and Robert met when they were both about 5 years old in a patch of grass near their homes called 'the circle.' It took many years as 'The Bug Bites' simmered in the background of life, until finally, in mid-2008 the band finally boiled and began writing songs. The main objective of the band is to have fun, write the kind of music that we'd like to listen to, and go fishing.

Influences: There are many, but a few, have notably been: no band, pen cap chew, ed ted fred, the pony's, the electric red, electric graveyard, and the boys with imaginary girls on the back of their bikes.Of course, the big boys have been: Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Scott Weiland, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, Incubus, Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, Blind Melon, Beattles, Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Nirvana, Mudhoney, the Fastbacks, 7 year bitch, the sonics, David Bowie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fugazi, Modest Mouse, The Clash, Pink Floyd, Switchfoot, Ben Harper, Chevelle, Dave Matthews, Tool, Rage Against The Machine, Sparta, SilverChair, The Supersuckers, Sublime, Bush, Neil Young, RadioHead, The White Stripes, My Chemical Romance, The Ramones, ray lamontagne, The Man in Black, Prince, Cyndi Lauper, and on and on and on...
