RED HOT MESS

About Me

I enjoy culture. I seek out culture, from low rent to high end. I especially enjoy pop culture;(Andy Warhol being THE biggest influence in my life.)And have made it a point in my life to immerse myself in SUB-culture, because strange and unique people, events, music, etc., are what makes life worth living... I like people who have a twisted sense of humor, people who are sincere, people who think out of the box...I generally prefer films over movies, short stories over novels. I love good coffee (Not that Folgers swill...)and great conversation. I enjoy teaching preschool, although the pay really sucks! But the kids treat me like a movie star and we get to tell each other "I Love You" eleventy billion times a day. I love riding my bike. Thats when I feel like a true Sagittarius.Regis-thats my bikes name-and I combine and become a modern day centaur! ha! I enjoy all kinds of music.I read constantly. I have an 18 pound cat named Stinky Fart Butt and two guinea pigs. Mostly Im light-hearted, but I pay attention to all the serious shit going on out there and try to contribute to the good of this fantastic planet we live on. Its the only one we have after all...

My Interests

I subscribe to Interview magazine-created by my man Andy Warhol- and Jane magazine also. I also like almanacs of all kinds. They are a great source of old wives tales and whatnot...

Heroes:

Tennessee Williams is my true hero in every sense of the word. His stories touch me so deeply. . Andy Warhol is a hero to me because he introduced to me art, culture, fashion, fame, individuality, and let the world know it was okay, even cool to be a freak. Bob Marley. Neil Young for helping out the family farmers of America. Harry Connick Jr. for all the hard work he did during the aftermath of Katrina. When he carried that poor man in his arms, put him down and then gave him the shirt off his OWN back, I said "Now theres a REAL man..."My mother for letting me be my own person, and for all of her bravery and dignity. The laid- back, friendly, good, kind, caring, beautiful, diverse, excellent, relaxed people of Austin Texas-(And the few and far between who live here in Waco) in other words, "We the Freaks".....we indeed!
