About Me



After playing around Long Island for a few years, doing mostly covers and playing bars and open mics, the Unstable went in different directions. Three years later, they have reunited and evolved into a new species of Improv Rock. No official albums have been released. These are songs meant to be enjoyed live, for their simple beauty. The new Mentality is to initiate original thought onstage, and play whatever comes to mind. Go with it. Have some fun. Always original. Never the same song twice. Unless there's requests...

Monday Night's Open Mic

So the MU played the Open Mic at Nag's Head againWe played Glycerin, The Sweater Song and Beverly Hills(thanks Lauren!!!)and finally Have a Cigar.  It felt great, and the crowd seemed to enjoy...

Open Mics

Well... maybe some practice is good... but there really isn't enough time in the day. We should all quit our day jobs (Jp's night job!) and focus entirely on the music... then we'd really rock!Thanks...
