About Me
I am primarily a guitar player, but I also play Hammond Organ (I have a M-3 and Leslie). A dedicated sideman, my goal is to serve the songs and make the band sound better. Over the years, I have collaborated with, recorded with, or played on stage with scores of great musicians, including Skip VonKuske (Cellotronik, Vagabond Opera), Dave Harding and Sean Oldham (Richmond Fontaine, Harding), Jen Bernard (Stolen Sweets), Dave Turner (Imprints, Dizzy Pilots), Patrick Lamb (sat in with us once), Jane Wright, Nicole Williams (Sauce), Mike Coykendall (Old Joe Clarks, Blue Rooms Studio), Michael Jodell, Susan Nelsen, Dave Gantenbein (Powers That Be), and many more that I can't remember (many of these artists are linked below). I have played in many rock and folk bands, including Band of Sorts (my first band, in Atlanta, Ga.), Uncle Fester, The Festering Fools, Homemade Jam, Whatcha Gonna Duo, Cousin It, Dizzy Pilots, Sauce, and again, many more that I can't remember. Lately, I have been recording and producing at my home studio, Forbidden Zone, since summer of 2006, when Nicole "Sauce" Williams moved to Nashville. That was the end of Sauce...I still gig when the occasion arises, and am leaning towards starting another "Meat and Potatoes" rock band. I have lived in Portland, Or. since 1993, and currently live with my girlfriend of many years, Sandra Fife.Check out my pictures - there's lots of great old ones, and some fine newer ones, too. A picture is worth a thousand words...
