Formed in late in 2004, The Imprints are comprised of five very talented and creative musicians who have known no other way of life for the past decade. By chance, this quintet was formed when founders Rob Stroup and Tim Huggins inadvertently double-booked an evening of auditions when launching a new musical project. The result was a magnificent accident, resulting in the addition of 3 musicians in the course of just that one evening. The five of them became quick friends.
The Imprints, fronted by lead-man Rob Stroup, are out of the gates with great success. Their first release, "Sounds of the Aftermath" continues to receive critical and popular praise, climbing to the top of many charts, including number 4 on garageband.com's Alternative-Pop charts in Sept 2005. The album also receives radio play up and down the west coast on non-comm, AAA, and college indie stations.
"Sounds of the Aftermath" was produced by veteran singer/songwriter Pete Droge (solo artist, one-third of "The Thorns" with Matthew Sweet and Shawn Mullins), and has been welcomed by both national and international press. In January of 2006, ClearChannel began putting The Imprints' hit single, "Utah Zen" on over 600 radio stations.
