About Me

.. "; .. ..I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
.. "DEAR, DEAR, HOW QUEER EVERYTHING IS TODAY...AND YESTERDAY THINGS WENT ON JUST AS USUAL...I WONDER IF I'VE BEEN CHANGED IN THE NIGHT, LET ME THINK...WAS I THE SAME WHEN I GOT UP THIS MORNING...BUT IF I'M NOT THE SAME THEN WHO IN THE WORLD AM I? AHHHH, THAT IS THE GREAT PUZZLE..." -ALICE, through the looking glass, by lewis carrol.I LOVE ART&MUSIC. I am currently most concerned with promoting the NAIN ROUGE. I've done allot of marketing and promotion work and allot of canvasing with free cds all around the metro area (you may have seen me around at malls, skate parks or at my gas station where I'm always giving away free shit) In addition, I've done a decent amount of photography work and writing and a little bit of allot of other stuff including, booking, graphic design, and video work. I would like to also branch out and learn how to run the sound board as well as get some audio recording experience. Really there isn't a facet of the music industry that I'm not interested in. I played violin most of the way through school, specifically trained Suzuki method. I played in the Metropolitan Youth Synphony at Orchestra Hall and other large venues. I play some guitar and a little keyboards. I would love to have voice lessons and piano lessons. I tend to operate on highs and lows. I always liked the Ella Fitzgerald song, "When I get low I get High". I hence have a propensity for that of a heavy/intense nature. I am a paradox, so I often see both sides too well. The philosophy/the idea behind punk is something that really changed my perspective on life, helped me find myself and accept myself which really ultimately saved me from a pathetic shallow existence. I've been pegged as intense/thoughtful/serious before, but thats ok because thats what i respect most in others. This is my official mission statement: Through passionate self-expression, honest self reflection and a striving for unity and community we together can break down barriers, defy stereotypes and ultimately be a catalyst for cultural change."Our critique began as all critiques begin: with doubt. Doubt became our narrative. Ours was a quest for a new story, our own. And we grasped toward this new history driven by the suspicion that ordinary language couldn't tell it. Our past appeared frozen in the distance, our every gesture and accent signified the negation of the old world and the reach for a new one. The way we lived created a new situation, one of exuberance and friendship, that of a subversive micro society, in the heart of a society which ignored it. Art was not the goal but the occasion and the method for locating our specific rhythm and buried possibilities of our time. The discovery of a true communication was what it was about, or at least the quest for such a communication. The adventure of finding it and losing it. We the unappeased, the unaccepting continued looking, filling in the silences with our own wishes, fears and fantasies. Driven forward by the fact that no matter how empty the world seemed, no matter how degraded and used up the world appeared to us, we knew anything was possible. And, given the right circumstances, a new world was just as likely as an old one." -A quote from, Waking Life: Chapter 8 NOISE & silence A Richard Linklatter film

PROCRASTINATION

I'd like to meet:

Myself from the future, myself from the past.....Below are my BOYZ! I'd be happy to meet them any day :)

Music:

MOSTLY,THE NAIN ROUGE. (See my blog THE NAIN ROUGE IS...) but also MOST OF MY FRIENDS, so check them out!!! Also any kind of music/noise that makes me feel something. My fiance Tim is a founding member of the NAIN ROUGE, and I have been very involved from the beginning, though most intensely for the last 5 years or so (the first date tim asked me on was the NAIN ROUGE's 1st show). I'm into music/art thats really intense, extremely thoughtful and totally honest, genuine and provocative. Some of my favorite bands, I think are best at orchestrating tension and chaos, examples: neurosis, botch, nirvana (bleach), dillinger escape plan (calculating infinity), thoughts of ionesco, norma jean, the chariot, since by man, today is the day, anything mike patton, mr. bungle, the locust, isis, mastodon, converge, breather resist, young widows, these arms are snakes, Wolf Eyes, Playing Enemy, Hemingway, A Death Cinamatic, Art of Falling, Lick Golden Sky, Intronaut, Swallow the Ocean, Engineer, Refused, the International noise conspiracy (survival sickness), Modest Mouse (Antarctica & ...nasty parlor tricks), At the Drive In, Mars Volta, KNUT, Unsane, Swallow the Ocean, Russian Circles, Maps and Atlases. 2 Great indie MI labels that I love, that put out killer jams and are good friends are Friction Records (GR) and Saw Her Ghost Records (Birmingham). Definitely take note of these terrific MI bands as well: Amino Acids, Fortune Favors the Bull, Slicer Dicer, Signs of Collapse, Bahumut, Today I Wait, Idol and the Whip, Super Continent, If He Dies He Dies, Ozenza, La Dispute, Victor! Fix the Sun, Beast in the Field, And the Sky Went Red, Human Wick Effect, Stab Stab Die
