About Me

I've been known to ride public transit carrying a toy ray gun, wearing purple shoes and Atari tshirts, annoying people for no reason. I'm glad a cartoon gif site finally caters to expressing this side of myself:
Alright, here's the FAQ:
* My name in fact is Blake William, although sometimes I go by William Blake as this would have been my name if my mother weren't angry at my father.
* Rain Mirror is my main creative outlet, Superzapper Recharge is a comedy rock endeavor with my friends, and Chopstick is my bandmate's solo project.
* If my music interests field looks ridiculous, let's just say I'm bipolar and listen to dream pop and grindcore.
* I don't take medication for the aforementioned illness.
* When I say I like beer, I snobbishly mean "I WOULD RATHER DRINK MY OWN URINE THAN BUDWEISER!", my mother indicates that I get this personality quirk from my father.
* I was born January 5th, 1985.
* I dropped out of jr college when my eyesight started to get too bad. I recently had a cornea transplant, and don't wish to return to school, but just work a crappy job to support my music habit.
* I'm totally writing this list at random without any forethought while doing laundry.
* I smoke unfiltered cigarettes. I do this in moderation. I'll casually go several days without smoking and then chainsmoke. Its been like this for 4 years and I've never made it a consistent habit.
* I spent my teenage years drinking whiskey, hating life, on probation and in front of the computer. My life was extremely unstable until I was 16.
* However, I now live alone in a studio apartment downtown which is way awesome. From my stair case, the ghetto is to the left, gay town to the right, and killer pubs are a few blocks from there. Sweet!
* I haven't been laid in a really, really long time.
* I escape to the bay about bi-monthly as lots of my friends moved there and I enjoy couch surfing. If you're in the bay, feel free to befriend me, as we'll see each other plenty.
* My family's supporting me while I recover from surgery. I've worked part time jobs in a bar, a screenprint factory, and doing road sign advertising over the last few years. I'll be seeking employment in the coming months after I'm past this whole major rejection risk thing.
* Shoegazing is awesome:

My Interests

Guitars (especially Gibson), ale, rain, altered states of consciousness, debating animism vs animatism and the significance of one's own soul, microbreweries, crappy food, going to trader joes for slightly healthier crappy food, walking, loving city life, hating city life, contemplating industrialization and the social vampire of human life it has become, not understanding the persistent use of gender roles in an industrialized society that has no necessity for feminin/masculine duties thanks to the modern idea called "the supermarket", run-on sentences like that last one, blueberries, lemons, hallucinations, trying to determine where the mind ends and the soul begins, more ale, different kinds of ale, I really like ale, heavy metal, experimental rock, funny noises, playing my guitar with drum sticks, shoes, shoegazing, wearing really cool shoes at band practice when I am shoegazing.

I'd like to meet:

* People with taste.
* People who want to come over and play the hottest new game system at my house: the 64-bit Jaguar by Atari. Oh yeah!
* Anybody who would like to play some music with me. I'm down for living room jams. If you're good, you can even sit in with my band as half our set is improv anyway.
* These "normal" girls I keep hearing about. I'm such a psycho magnet and its wearing at me.
* Anyone down for free, loud mouthed conversation about whatever's on their mind without fear of feeling like a freak.
* People who want to play on the swings at the park at 1 in the morning.

Oh, and this God:
