Hey All! Welcome to my page,
My name is David and I'm a Sophomore at American River College. My major is Sociology, and I'm having a good time of it thus far. I hope to transfer to CSUS sometime next year. I work in a casino to pay for gas and beer money. I'm confident and pretty ambitious, most say it's part of my charm. I come from a blue-collar family and am trying to blaze my own trail through life with the goal of getting my B.A.
I have a young heart but an old soul. I feel as comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt as I do in a three-piece suit. I am very spiritual but not religious. I am a lover, a minor poet, and a community volunteer. I am quickly growing tired of real conversations with fake people. I have class and am well-mannered, yet I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves when there is a job to be done.
I have an interest in meditation, John William Waterhouse paintings, Military stuff, and Anne Rice novels. I'd rather be hiking or walking through the woods somewhere then punch a timeclock. I often dream of just driving until the road runs out of pavement and is finally just earth again. I would classify myself as a beatnik, trapped within a Norman Rockwell painting.
I refuse to be a drone, some mindless laborer who just sits there, never questioning anything and does what he is told. I believe in volunteering and community involvement. I think we should leave a postive legacy for those that come after us to follow. I'm pretty approachable and consider myself to be laid back. In my spare time I race hamsters and dream of having my own little "Walden Pond" someday.
