About Me

Full-time student. One more year & I'll have a master's in counseling and then I have to face the real world outside of school. I'm into people and enjoy spending time with the right ones. I like finding ways to expose my creative side to the world, ideally in the most random way possible. Things like ceramic painting, puff paint, drawing designs on burned CDs, and wall collages are some of my favorites.I'm finding balance between an adventurous spirit and being a wuss. Things like skydiving, skiing, tattooing, and dancing in public help bring out the extrovert in me which is so necessary. My relationships are top priority and I work to nourish them whenever possible.I find the beauty in random everyday things and am always striving to find greatness in the world. I'm definitely an optimist. My personality has a solid core to it, but some factors can vary a lot depending on the situation. I can be really different in different contexts, but the people who know me best can see the inner factors that never change. I try to maintain an authentic existence through it all, and I rather enjoy finding out the different ways my self expresses itself (Austin Powers moment...) I'm a full-time graduate student so most of my reading consists of textbooks and professional journal articles. Therefore, I like my leisure reading to be reader friendly and not stuffy. Some favorites are Laurie Notaro, Augusten Burroughs, Jennifer Weiner, Marian Keyes, and more. Chick lit, novels, memoirs. See below for an update on what I'm currently reading...
