About Me

ABOUT 19:11
In late 2004, Brandon Waters and Terry Beckman started their first garage band with Casey Sawyer and Dustin Veillet. They started playing Metallica covers such as Enter Sandman and For Whom the Bell Tolls. Luke Vorderbruggen joined the crew in August that year as the bands first official lead singer. After numerous study halls together, Luke and Brandon named the band "Juxtapose Sanctity". Juxtapose had 6 original songs in it's entire lifespan: "Piece 'o Shit", "Pitiful World", "Lost Monk", "Lost But Not Found", "Re-Birth", and finally "Saviorism". Juxtapose Sanctity had two official shows; November 21st, 2005 at Lincoln Park Community Church, and July 21st, 2006 at The Encounter. In the summer of '06 (about three weeks before the july 21st gig) Terry, Casey and Brandon started listening to what people had to say about the band's music. "Your music is decent, but your singer is awful". The band was worried, and out of fear, they kicked luke out 5 days shy of the July 21st gig. For a quick replacement, they contacted a friend; Zachory Balcum. In all honesty, it sounded awful; Zack only had 3 days to rehearse. After the 21st, the band took a break; the future of the band was undecided. While terry was in California visiting his aunt, Brandon was locked in his room writing/recording a song. That song was "Madness is in the Eye of the Beholder". Sick of trying to find a singer, Brandon recorded his own vocals and sent Terry the rough draft. He thought it was excellent. When Terry returned, the remaining members of the band met in Lincoln Park and discussed what was going to become of the music. First order of business; A new band name. After a lot of debate, they chose "A Fallen Mutiny". Their next problem; who was going to do the vocals? To everyone, the answer was obvious...Brandon Waters. From then on, Brandon started writing and recording original songs, coming up with more than 50. After a lot of editing and hard work, he narrowed the choices down to ten songs. At the next band meeting, they decided to keep three songs: "Madness", "(un)Responsible", and "Saviorism".Brandon continually wrote and recorded full songs. The band spent the entire winter learning and practicing the songs. Eventually it lead up to a spot in the Denfeld talent show, but there was a major problem; They badly needed a second guitar player, and time was running out. Becoming desperate, they started auditioning everybody they knew that played guitar, but none of them seemed to fit.Terry's girlfriend (Lianna Fagan) had a cousin named Erin Morgan. She was dating a guy named Steven Watts, who had recently moved to Superior, Wisconsin from Ohio. One day, fate seemed to intervein when he was looking through Erin's profile; he stumbled across the myspace of a band called A Fallen Mutiny. He listened to their music, and loved every minute of it. He was a guitarist, and had such a passion for metal, and music in general. It seemed like Destiny: He didn't know many people, and was looking for a good band to join. He saw that they were looking for a guitarist, so he immediately contacted the band. After exchanging messages, he impressed the band with a recording of him playing a song from their myspace. Regaining hope, they set up a date for an audition. After the audition, they all agreed that they had finally found a perfect fit. However, they didn't want to tell him just yet. With the talent show quickly approaching, they decided to wait and see how he performed live.April 14th: AFM's first gig - Denfeld talent show/ Battle of the Bands AFM lost, but gained confidence. Immediatley after the show, AFM invited Steven to join the band and he gladly accepted.
