Get your layout at GetOnMySpace.comFINK.At 16 when I left school in Reading I never thought I would ever be involved in the music business, I hated my music lessons and I was forced into enduring them for my GCSE exams. It didnt mean that music wasnt already a big part of my life. I loved all the old school rave music that was just coming out at the time and it was before I left school that I had already attended my first illegal rave!
It was when I visited my uncle, Paul Hazel, in London that I realised that I wanted to get involved in the music industry, My uncle, already a producer and performer, showed me around his equipment and gave me a few production tips. When I returned to Reading the next day I set out to buy my first pair of decks, preferring to get into DJing at the time. Preferring to spin techno and breaks, as I was told it was easier than spinning DnB I soon became bored of DJing and sold my decks in favour of a playstation.
It was a few years later when I had moved to Oxfordshire that I decide I wanted to spin drum and bass. A few months later saw me with a set of technics and few months after that I had myself a CDJ1000 and an Allen & Heath mixer. I then taught myself how to mix using three decks and eventually I was able to triple drop a few tunes which set me apart from the rest of the bedroom DJs at the time. I started to get sets at a few mates parties and I was still involved in the illegal rave scene. Its was in May 2005 when I got my first big set at Kinetic, Oxfords Premier drum and bass night, And after playing that one night I landed myself a residency which I now play at every month. Since then I play regularly at the Bedlam nights in Swindon and Bristol, Ive played across the south of England and Ive played on the Valve sound system. I still even play the odd illegal rave as well.
On the production side of things, Ive produced my own songs and Ive done a few remixes for people, one of which was for a band called Lamb, according to Mercury music it got a release in the U.S But the band had just recently left Mercury so I didnt see any definitive evidence. Im still producing my own work at the moment...........For bookings contact: Bassment agency tel: +447776 004941, UK .........................................................DOW
