Djinn - sneak peak preview! (NEW)
I'm very creative (just finished writing & producing the above indie film "Djinn" coming this year'07 (also watch the behind the scenes interview to the left :) It rocks too!
As a child I was blessed to experience two separate cultures, and understand the beauty of both, I'm of Persian heritage but was raised in the states by my wonderful adopted American family in Tampa, Florida until the age 12, when my mother (a well known Persian artist) was able to come to the US.
Having this unique experince and view of the world only brought me closer in realizing my dreams as a creative writer and performer. My inspiration as an artist in film is not about money, or fame...but about trying to project imagination, show a different perspective of life, simply entertain and maybe even inspire some thirteen year old kid somewhere to pursue his or her dreams as I have, no matter what the "nay" sayers say. I also believe there are many more great stories to be told, and I would like to have a part in telling them.
Always been a very independent person, love to laugh, artistic, very giving, love music, close to my family, and my philosophy is: Life's too short to not have a few laughs, with some good wine, sitting on a porch somewhere, while watching the sunset and having a popcorn fight ;)

Everything across the spectrum! It's important to keep musical taste open, it expands your mental horizon. But I definitely looove world music ;)

Movies:

Yes to Movies! Especially these: The brilliance of the first Star Wars Trillogy (my insperation as a filmmaker, as a kid i was forced to play Han solo cause i was the only kid with dark hair on the block :), The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, The 7th voyage of sinbad, Clash of the titans, God Father part II, and part I (in that order), Scarface, The matrix (part I only),Enter the Dragon, Vanilla Sky (great sound track), Troy (Brad rocked the house in that), Ed Wood, Shrek I and II (brilliant characters), Requiem To A Dream, Leon- AKA "The Professional", Djinn (yes, self promo :), Forbidden Planet (way ahead of its time), Good Fellas, A Bronx Tale, Snatch, casino, most of the older Mel Brooks Films, & House of Sand and Fog are a few that stand out.
