About Me

Brother Sister duo. We co-write most of the songs, she sings and he plays. It works when we 're not fighting. We're after a drummer. Some radio play and no rhythm all of a sudden. Great. If you're in London and you're interested, mail us , comment or leave a message.********HAND MENDED, GIGS BACK ON, PERMANENT DRUMMER NEEDED*********We recorded at Sponge Studios, Leeds, England. It cost us a crate of beers to borrow an electric, since my guitar had just been stolen. After we finished, the studio was accidentally set alight and then flooded by its own sprinkler system. Turns out, not so Sponge-y.This stuff is hard to get out.Next time we recorded, a band was formed of sorts: a last minute drummer (Max flew in from the States a few days before) and a bass player, the sort of player who only exists in pure chance or in movies, a fella who, just by chance, happens to play like a demon. The best private gig ever, watching him play.Get Your Own! | View Slideshow

Band Website: Come to a gig"Too busy playing. Come to a gig
Band Members: NANCY vocals/writes...MORGAN shouts/plays the instmts/writes.... LEXY sings WE NEED A DRUMMER (we lost ours in a pub somewhere). We're rehearsing with a kick ass bass player and we have the rehearsal space. Anyone up for it?
Influences: The Brown Stripes for laughing. Radiohead for writing. Stevie Wonder for dancing. Jeff Buckley for sorrow. Let's face facts: influences are irrelevant. It's like saying 'I have read a book' or 'I have heard some music'. No-one ever really gives a flying fuck, it's just the musician's equivalent of small talk anyway; your influences change all the time.Anyone who puts 'my parents' or 'God' is missing the point, tho.
Sounds Like: *Straightforwardlovin' - a touch of Stevie Wonder? The ending is cool as fvck but is faded out. *Somethin' Goin' On - a ballad, you get over it. Unusual drum track & some lyrics about being utterly lost in an optimistic way. We drank whisky. *Get It Started - the BVs were supposed to be a bit BobMarley&TheWailers but the ending is more like Belle and Sebastian have been kidnapped by motown. *Hometown - Like I said, You get over it. This was written about that love-excitement you get when you are prepared to abandon a city and follow someone else. Not a fvcking anthem for stalkers, an ode to those love-lost and hopeful souls of the world. If you are actually a stalker and are reading this, kindly fvck right off without doing anyone any harm.

Just saw Doug Stanhope's page, looking for a few laughs. He's done some really funny stuff. His mail really bothered me, tho, set me thinking, I mean, rather than upset me. Why not just say it, '...

exhaustion

so it turns out our gig in Camden was a lot of fun. Since I play the guitar like a pianist, all interesting chords and no real technique at all, there's always that element in the back of my mind that...

never touch the strange pink liquid

Morgy baby has just written a noo toon. I, meanwhile, seem utterly devoid of inspriation today... arghhhh! All lyrics feel trite. Trying to blast my head out with some Zutons followed by The Clash. I...
